Terms and Conditions

  • The Kfm Best of the Cape Awards nominations are open from 2 July 2024 and closes on 12 July 2024 at 7pm.

  • Listeners must complete the nomination form in the relevant category. Only one nomination per listener will be allowed in each category. Duplicate entries from the same individual will only count as one nomination for the nominee.

  • A shortlist of maximum five finalists per category will be announced on Kfm 94.5 on 23 July 2024, and public voting will commence on 24 July 2024 at 6am.

  • The voting period runs from 24 July 2023 at 6am to 1 August at 7pm.

  • Winners will be announced live on Kfm 94.5 on Tuesday, 15 August 2024, and via the station’s social media platforms.

  • Two bonus awards will be announced on Tuesday, 15 August for Kfm’s Station’s Choice winner as well as Yoco’s Choice winner. These categories are not open to voting and is at Kfm 94.5 and Yoco’s discretion.

    • Listener competition:

  • Should a listener wish to stand a chance to win a share of R10 000 for voting, the listener must submit their details in the provided entry form.

  • Only one vote per category per listener will be allowed, for a total of up to 30 votes per listener.

  • Winners will be announced live on Kfm 94.5 on Thursday, 22 August on the radio and via the station’s social media platforms.

  • Listeners who have won any competition on Kfm 94.5, CapeTalk, 702, or 947, in the past 90 days, will not qualify for entry into the cash prize draw, but may still vote.

  • A cash prize of R2500 will be awarded to each of four listeners who have voted.

  • Winners will be drawn at random.

General:

  • The judges’ decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.

  • Kfm 94.5 will not be held responsible for any data charges incurred while participating in this contest.

  • Kfm 94.5 will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.

  • Finalists and winners must be willing to share photographs and additional information to be featured on the Kfm Best of the Cape Awards website.

  • If a winner or finalist cannot be successfully contacted or contravenes the terms and conditions of this contest or of Kfm 94.5, their award or nomination will be forfeit.

  • Kfm 94.5 reserves the right to cancel or amend the contest and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the contest will be notified to participants as soon as possible by the promoter.

  • Employees of Primedia Broadcasting and their immediate family and friends are not permitted to enter or take part in the contest in any way.

  • By entering this contest, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
